Family History
It should be noted that the marriage extract used as a source refers to William Lawrie's parents as Gavin Lawrie and Margaret Ingram, not Longmuir. However it also reports William's birthplace as Sidehead Farm, where Gavin Lawrie and Margaret Longmuir resided and the birth years are identical. Before uploading this page, I searched for a Margaret Ingram to no avail. I believe that while it is written as Margaret Ingram, it is actually Margaret Longmuir but am continuing in my efforts to confirm this.
