Family History
Initial information about this family came from my great-uncle Gordon Leckie Thompson. His records would suggest that the wife of William Wallace (b. 1787) was a lady whose first name was unknown and last name was Blackburn. In my own research, I have been unable to locate any records having to do with this lady and suspect that William Wallace's wife was actually Sarah Porterfield as this couple's family, plus the naming pattern, fit with the children Uncle Gordon provided as family. I continue in my efforts to confirm her identity and would appreciate input from those of you who with information about this family.
